Information is provided on certain categories of personal records, on the security measure applied to a person and the additional punishment imposed, and on persons in respect of whom a police decision has been issued on separation and persons who have been granted temporary protection against violence by a court decision.

  • Punishment Register Law (adopted on 10.10.2013, entered into force on 01.01.2014).
  • Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia Regulations of 25.05.2014 No. 161 “Procedures for Preventing Threats of Violence and Providing Temporary Protection Against Violence”.

Accumulated information

The information system contains information on certain categories of persons, the security measure applied to the person and the additional sentence imposed, as well as information on the separation decisions taken by the police and the temporary protection measures against violence imposed by the court.

Who provides the information for inclusion in the information system?

  • Valsts policija;
  • Valsts robežsardze;
  • Valsts probācijas dienests;
  • Pašvaldības policija;
  • Tiesa.

How is information provided for inclusion in the information system?

  • Using input in online data transmission mode.

  • Iedzīvotāju reģistrs;

How can I receive information from the information system?

  • by using the information system in the online data transmission mode;

  • in writing, in response to a request or submission.

Who can receive information from the information system?

  • State and local government institutions that have the right to receive such information;
  • private persons - in accordance with the procedures specified in regulatory enactments.

How is training in working with the information system organized?

If the user needs training in working with the information system, contact the department staff. Training is mandatory when granting a user data entry/correction rights.
