The Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior is a direct administration authority subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior. The purpose of the activities of the Centre is to facilitate the prevention and combating of crime and the protection of public order and safety by utilising the means of information processing and analysis, as well as to provide the Ministry of the Interior and its subordinate institutions with effective radio communication and private electronic network systems, which comply with the requirements set by the European Union.



Due to the declared state of emergency in Latvia in relation to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), as of 13 March 2020 the Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Latvia stops providing services in person.
